Pulsecaster: Simple PulseAudio-based tool for making podcast interviews

This is a real handy tool for when you just want to do an audio podcast and OBS Studio is a bit too much. On an RPM machine I always have both OBS Studio and Pulsecaster on my Dock. I have tried everything to install without having to open up Repos not in the default MX Linux setup. Thanks.

I think I am having some CMOS Battery issues on an old R400 Thinkpad. Might want to make a note for all MX Users to not blame MX for funky quirks if they have an older laptop; it is most likely their hardware CMOS Battery getting old and senile. I have thrown out a dozen Thinkpads before I lezarned about this cheap but vital thing in old laptops, the stupid little $5 CMOS Battery. The 'typo' with the 'z' in this paragraph for instance; I think is a CMOS Battery quirk.

My first couple of attempts to build this have failed....

Furthe checking indicates that there has not been any activity on this tool in about 5 years. I am guessing it may have died and gone to heaven...

Well, I packaged it yesterday, but the menu entry and running "pulsecaster" in the terminal both do exactly nothing--just jumps to the next line and sits there. Running pulsecaster manually from the source also does nothing.

I also used alien to convert the Fedora rpm to a deb package, but it throws this error:

although it is usually for connecting to an icecast stream I have used it as a recorder occasionally
works in ALSA, Pulseaudio or JACK; records to mp3, Ogg, FLAC and more

But i would usually want a bigger set of tools in JACK for mixing and DSP of mic, VOIP and music/soundboard
