[SOLVED] Question about Whisker menu
I just wondered if it is possible to tweak Whisker menu so that it opens by hovering the mouse over its icon on the panel.

Re: Question about Whisker menu
Well, there's nothing in the Properties dialog box that would suggest that.

Re: Question about Whisker menu
No, there isn't. I thought maybe some file somewhere could be tweaked to accomplish that. But I understand, it's a long shot.
Re: Question about Whisker menu
If it is, it would be with the gtk code, I guess.

Re: Question about Whisker menu
You could try installing the hot-corner package from bunsenlabs: https://mxlinux.org/wiki/applications/hotcorner
Then add the command to activate whisker menu:
https://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?pid=46629#p46629
**tests it**
Yep, it works on my MX17 (I have hotcorner set up), but you have to make a deliberate movement of your cursor into the bottom left corner, so it's not a simple mouseover on top of the MX start menu button.
Then add the command to activate whisker menu:
Code: Select all
xfce4-popup-whiskermenu
**tests it**

Re: Question about Whisker menu
Thanks so much! I'll test it and report back in a while.
Re: Question about Whisker menu
Also, just in case you are not aware, if your keyboard has a "windows" key, hitting it will invoke the whisker menu.

Hi asqwerth,Go to Bunsenlabs page here: https://github.com/BunsenLabs/bunsen-ut ... /bl-hotcor... and select/copy all the lines of the python script within the box. Open an empty text file and paste the text within. Save the file as "bl-hotcorners" (no quotation marks in the file name, or suffixes). Right click on the file to call up "Properties", and in the Permissions tab, choose to make the file executable.
The link https://github.com/BunsenLabs/bunsen-ut ... hotcorners
doesn't seem to work here. I get a 404 error: page not found
