Hi manyroads,

I just upgraded firejail to the version 0.9.56 from the Testrepo and my firejailed apps seem to be working fine.

Thanks!

@philotux I can tell you that Firejail/firectl stop calibre and clamtk from working on my machine today. Sorry. I removed them from my PC.

That's a pity!
I don't have calibre installed but I tried to run

Code: Select all

firejail clamtk
and got this

Code: Select all

Reading profile /etc/firejail/clamtk.profile
Parent pid 4426, child pid 4427
Child process initialized in 31.97 ms
Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0.0 at /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl5/5.24/Gtk2.pm line 126.

Parent is shutting down, bye...

AntiX-17.3.1_386-base, firejail 0.9.44.8
When run in firejail, firefox would not open any web site or file :frown: (Sylpheed runs in firejail by default and works fine.)
After installing firejail version 0.9.58.2 from https://firejail.wordpress.com/download-2/, firejail firefox works properly.

Firejail 0.9.58.2 is also in the MX 15-18 test repos, FWIW.

I'll answer my own question.
They didn't install on antiX-17due to some errors so I rebuilt my own antiX versions from Debian buster source.
