The updated version has the same bug the .9 version had when you search in a large feed. Just less often. When you then click on the X to clear the search field, or switching to a different feed with that search still enabled and then clearing the search, things will at times hang, forcing you to hit the close button. Reopening then gives you a garbled text and the items in the columns are all messed up. Closing and restarting yet again sorts the garbled text issue and then you can re-order your columns and things.

The 18.4 version doesn't have this issue.

Sigh, so 0.18.11 was the last...

oh, wait, there's now a 0.18.12...

I give up, 0.18.11 is working just fine (or good enough for me anyway), I shall ignore any reminders there's a newer version, sigh. I really must try and break the habit of wanting the latest (and greatest?) version of stuff.

I am sticking with 18.4, I want to bet that 18.12 has the same bug as the versions that come after 18.4 ;)

Please excuse me if you already know this.
You can turn off the update check by:
Tools -> Options -> General ->
and untick "Automatically check for updates"

I knew it was somewhere, but excuse me if I'm too lazy to go looking. The hot weather we're having is making me cranky and I wanted to moan about something other than the weather for a change.

Is there any chance of updating to 0.18.12?
Don't know if it really adds anything important, so I guess it's not a top priority.
18.11 has worked well for me.

0.18.12 is in Debian testing, so odds are pretty good that I will be able to backport it.

Both MX 17 and 15 packages were easy backports--they are headed to the test repo, but you can install the single deb package early from this zip: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1zK36D ... mODLE7Uh3N
