I persuaded a gentleman by the name of Terry Love to register in order that he might make a package request. His request was intercepted as spam. Can anyone help him, please?

I just checked my email and have one from him. I can register him and will inform him of a temporary password.

Do we have an idea how many false positive do we get when people try to register on the forum, is this a more general problem?

Well I tried signing in from a different computer I'd just set up with MX 17 yesterday and it kept rejecting my name and password. Bloody annoying especially when you are demonstrating it to a client and the system refuses! Makes all the hard work of pushing MX as a good system, worthless.

We get about 2 or 3 per month. In Many cases they are because a VPN is being used and happens to fall on an IP that is listed on the spam check site we use.

@turtlebay777, There may be other reasons why your username and/or password were rejected. Did a message specifically referencing rejection because you were identified as a spammer?

@Rich, no it just kept saying something about user name not recognised in red text.

Just now I cleared all cookies and signed back in here on my normal 'puter and it worked like clockwork.

(Now there's a niche market, a clockwork computer!)

Who knows, maybe you put a blank space before the name (or after) I've seen that happening often enough to not trust even myself if I see this kind of message. In any case it doesn't sound like another false positive spam detection.
