Musescore 2.1.0 has landed in our test repository. This version is ported over from stretch-backports to make it easier to install.

Re: MX 17 Repository: The Musescore Thread
Thanks, Stevo - Musescore is a long-time favourite of mine. I assume this is MX-17 only. I look forward to the upgrade.

Re: MX 17 Repository: The Musescore Thread
2.1.0 runs fine in MX-17. I've been using previous versions for a few years with zero problems. I think this could be moved to main.

Re: MX 17 Repository: The Musescore Thread
We have now updated to the latest 2.3 release in the test repo, as well as added the new soundfont package that it will pull in by default.
Re: MX 17 Repository: The Musescore Thread
Any news on version 3 the just updated to 3.1
Re: MX 17 Repository: The Musescore Thread
We can't build it on our Stretch base, since it requires a newer Qt 5 (>= 5.9) than we have at 5.7.1. You should be able to use the AppImage, though.
Re: MX 17/18 Repository: The Musescore Thread
Well, it turns out that by disabling the plugin builds, the current 3.2.3 release will build on our Qt 5, so 3.2.3's now in our test repo, ported over from stretch-backports-sloppy (and built from the source on the openSUSE Build Service, since I couldn't keep the builds from failing in pbuilder, sbuild, or Virtual Box installs.) The soundfont packages have also been updated to the current releases.
I don't know how important the plugins are for those using it, though. Let us know if you test it!
3.2.3 and the soundfonts are also in the MX 19 test repo, but I didn't have to struggle to build that version, and Qt 5 is new enough to support the plugins.
