Re: How many of you need a 32 bit distro?
All my workstations are AMD 64 bit.
But I do have an old Acer laptop, with a Celron.
It requires 32 bit.
So, answer yes.
(Though I know I could use AntiX)

Yep, the poll figures are ever changing. It's almost 50-50 here now.Jerry3904 wrote:@asqwerth: not sure about that:

Probably different audiences to some extent, and numbers still low.

Slowly switching to 64 bit machines here. About half 32bit still.

A computer is a terrible thing to waste.
Have a Macbook and Macbook PRO (Core Duo), so I voted yes.

Macbooks though can do 64bit, right?
Re: How many of you need a 32 bit distro?
It seems pretty clear already that many MX lovers need a 32bit version.
So do we have a problem if/when MX17 uses Stretch?

Re: How many of you need a 32 bit distro?
32 bit is what brought me to MX after it was recommended in a Manjaro forum thread.
I have an i686 laptop that works fine for what I use it for, so I'd like to keep it alive for as long as possible.

Re: How many of you need a 32 bit distro?
If there were any doubts this thread makes it pretty clear that we'll still need to continue to support 32bit, not sure how other distros (Arch comes to mind) plan to drop the official support.
