#1 Post by cuscotravelservices »

Hi Folks,

Which Repository do I need to add to be able to install Orage 4.12?

Thanks, Michael.

There's a tarball of 4.12.1 in the Xfce Git repo:

http://git.xfce.org/apps/orage/

but we don't have it packaged yet as far as I can see.
Production: 5.10, MX-23 Xfce, AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core, GeForce GT 630/PCIe/SSE2, 16 GB, SSD 120 GB, Data 1TB
Personal: Lenovo X1 Carbon with MX-23 Fluxbox and Windows 10
Other: Raspberry Pi 5 with MX-23 Xfce Raspberry Pi Respin

I'm packaging it, hold on a few minutes.

I'm also going to include an alternate set of packages that the Debian packager might do in the future, if he really followed policy and hacked them up into data, plugin, and main packages.

The single deb version is probably the safest to install--the hacked up one probably needs some tweaks to let it upgrade cleanly over 4.10....or maybe not. It installed without fuss via "dpkg -i -B *386.deb". The new panel plugin does not work really well on our vertical panel.

Hi Stevo,

How does the plugin work with the panel in horizontal mode at the bottom of the screen?

All I'm getting after clicking on the link is an animated waiting symbol.

Must be a slow site or my connection is slow at the moment. The page loaded eventually.

Thanks, MTB.

Hi Stevo,

I installed the single deb version using Gdebi without any installation errors.

That's one more translation problem solved.

Many thanks, MTB.

The new panel plugin's a digital clock, so there's enough room for the display on a horizontal panel.

I sent the packages up to Tim for the test MX repo, the standard single deb version only. It may be a while before anyone else packages it, including Debian upstream, so I'm just guessing they'll go with the single deb, too.

Actually, it's now in main, so everybody should update.
