nice one on the antiX Forum

I recently installed MX-14.3 on a spare partition of my machine (specs below), and I'd like to thank anticapitalista and everyone else in the community involved with its development. I'm impressed with the distro thus far; it's clearly designed with great attention to details and extras -- such as the Nvidia installer, multimedia codecs installer, and Conky Manager (I enjoyed experimenting with it, since I'm fairly new to conky). I was also pleasantly surprised by most programs' currency and a more up-to-date kernel . . . It seems to me like Debian Stable with backports.

I first heard about MX-14 from reading Dedoimedo's review, and although I appreciate his knowledge, he does focus more on aesthetics than I do. I don't need something with a ton of bling out of the box; I prefer stability and speed (if possible).

I multi-boot Linux on this computer, and I also felt that the installer was user-friendly from that perspective. I appreciated that there was a clearly stated option to install GRUB2 to the root partition (rather than the MBR). I chose this option, and despite the caution that it was for "expert users only", I didn't have any problems.

Thanks again to everyone for this hidden gem. :) I'm sure I'll have questions as I continue to explore MX-14.3.
Production: 4.15.0-1-amd64, MX-17.1, AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core, GeForce GT 630/PCIe/SSE2, 8 GB, Kingston SSD 120 GB and WesternDigital 1TB
Testing: AAO 722: 4.15.0-1-386. MX-17.1, AMD C-60 APU, 4 GB

Booootiful...love the crack about Dedoimedo's review...the poster is clearly a discerning pragmatist.

We should take to heart "Thanks again to everyone for this hidden gem. :)" ...hopefully not so hidden as time goes on.

I'm a bit confused over who posted what?

I actually thought Jerry3904 had been using MX-14 for quite some time.
Maybe I should stop assuming and just read more.

Yes, as the project manager, I think Jerry does use it on occasion.

Actually, I believe he was quoting a post that was made on the antiX forum.
