Right click> Move or Copy

#1 Post by uncle mark »

I give up. What's it take to get the RC> Move To or Copy To option in Dolphin.

And if somebody points to something obvious in the docs or in Symantec I'm going to scream.

The control icon>Preferences>Service Menu. The copy to and move to commands are in the list. Just check the box. Restart of Dolphin.may be required.

Thanks Rich. Option for Delete was there as well.

Still took me a minute to find it under Settings> Configure> General> Context Menu in the KDE 4.8.4 that MX-14 with KDE uses.

I'd been in there before but just didn't dig deep enough. I thought I might have been missing some additional required KDE package, but had come out of that rabbit hole empty handed as well.

You're having 'too much fun'.

You can also enable a root actions menu there by adding the Root Actions Service Menu. Very useful.

+1

That's always one of my first additions to a new install.

Thanks again. That was another one I was going to try and track down. Although to be honest, I can't think of the last time I used it. I just don't have much need to get root for much of anything other than using Synaptic.

I usually prefer to work from an instance of Dolphin as su. But the root actions menu is handy never the less.
