Gscan2PDF won't paste image from clipboard; can you add that? [solved]

I wanted to make myself a PDF of some information in an online class, so I took a screenshot of it and sent that to the clipboard, hoping to paste it into gscan2PDF. I find that I can't do it--the image is at the top of my clipboard, but nothing happens when I try to paste. That's okay, I don't mind making the image a file and then opening it in gscan2PDF as I usually do. But can you make it allow clipboard image pasting in the future, unless it already does that and I just did something wrong?

Well, I did solve the problem., Actually, I didn't use gscan2PDF; I saved the screenshot as a PNG then learned how to

Okay, if you want me to--done. But that suggests you think I meant that this was a problem I couldn't solve. It isn't: I said I knew perfectly well what to do (make the image a file, then open it), and then I found a second solution by learning the convert command. In which case it would not be clear why I posted this in the bugs/requests sub-forum.

No, I posted here because I noticed there was something Gscan2pdf didn't do and probably should do. I mean, "paste" is in the menu there, but it still won't take an image from the clipboard...
