MX-18_January_x64 ISO issues

Alright just tried it again. Ran that sudo apt-get update and mx-installer command first, then sudo -E minstall command after first was done. Went through without grub failing to install and didn't get root password error either. But since those issues were sporadic before, is there a way to have the installer automatically start from terminal and send the errors back to you all? Or make announcement on site index page and blog about users running that "sudo -E minstall" command before launching installer and if have errors to copy it all and send updates in forum from virtual machines?

Curious, was that root password bug in MX-17 and 18 stable release too or just the latest January snapshot?
