Hello,
When I suspend / resume in general more than once, it logs me out. Someone mentions it also on distrowatch. It happened in MX 17 and now also on 18.

are you logged out or just getting the lock screen? by default the session is locked on suspend.

FYI: mx "test" repo is not the same thing as debian testing repo.

System Settings> Power Manager. Click the Security Tab and uncheck "Lock Screen when going to sleep"

Thank you for your help.
It's already unchecked.
The first time I suspend it never logs out. It happens on the second or third time but I can't foretell when it will.
And when I relogin I can't find my desktop as I left it, that is to say that all my programs that were open are not visible. But when I reboot firefox tells me to restore the tabs.
Hope I explained well.

Regarding preserving your desktop. I believe that is normal behavior for suspend. Hibernate saves open programs as is, not suspend.

"Suspend does not turn off your computer. It puts the computer and all peripherals on a low power consumption mode. If the battery runs out or the computer turns off for some reason, the current session and unsaved changes will be lost.

Hibernate saves the state of your computer to the hard disk and completely powers off. When resuming, the saved state is restored to RAM."

The problem here is that the system has two different behaviors for the same action.

ON my desktop suspend has always closed open applications in my case and continues to do so. On my laptop open programs are preserved. Hibernate has always brought back what was open as is.

Desktop and laptop are separate settings in Power Manager, right?

I do not see a distinction in Power Manager on my desktop. There are no separate Desktop/Laptop settings. On the Laptop there is an additional laptop lid item.
