xfce4-weather-plugin error msg

#1 Post by kmathern »

Is anybody else seeing the following message with the xfce4-weather-plugin?
Met.no sunrise API states that this version of the webservice
is deprecated, and the plugin needs to be adapted to use
a newer version, or it will stop working within a few months.
Please file a bug on https://bugzilla.xfce.org if no one
else has done so yet.
I'm seeing it on my MX-16 install but I think the same version of the plugin (0.8.10-1) is installed on MX-17 & 18.

Still works perfectly here. This plugin is the reason I never include weather on my conkies, since it works so painlessly (at least here in the US).
Production: 5.10, MX-23 Xfce, AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core, GeForce GT 630/PCIe/SSE2, 16 GB, SSD 120 GB, Data 1TB

Other: Raspberry Pi 5 with MX-23 Xfce Raspberry Pi Respin

It's working fine for me on MX-18.
I am command line illiterate. I copy & paste to the terminal. Liars, Wiseguys, Trolls, and those without manners will be added to my ignore list.

I just checked in MX-18, I also see the message/warning in it.

The message/warning is displayed in the Details tab, though it's still working (for now) and showing the information it's supposed to show.
Screenshot.png
I see that it's been reported in the xfce bugzilla https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14972

According to this here: https://api.met.no/weatherapi/sunrise/2 ... 2018-11-19 it looks like it will stop working (unless changed) on 2019-02-15.
