Edit: The snapshot iso testing is done in VirtualBox.
My snapshot made while the Intel video driver is enabled doesn't start past the top left flashing cursor. After keying alt+F2, logging in and typing startx that fails with errors. Is this a known problem?
I tested a snapshot made without the Intel driver enabled which works.

not known by me. the intel driver shouldn't even be loading with VB running.TauTsar wrote: ↑Fri Jul 13, 2018 2:34 pm Edit: The snapshot iso testing is done in VirtualBox.

Re: Snapshot w/Intel driver bug
I don't know what's relevant. I'm burning a usb now to test.

Re: Snapshot w/Intel driver bug
That sounds like the expected result if you force X to use the Intel driver without any Intel GPU being available, as in VBox. That's what the Intel tweak does. A workaround could be to have something detect an Intel GPU at boot and add the 20-intel.conf file on the fly only if it's present.
Re: Snapshot w/Intel driver bug
The snapshot works when burned to usb. Sorry I didn't realize what was happening.
Thanks everyone.
