It seems there are a lot of things called Window Buttons. Here's the one I'm talking about:

OK. It was removed from Settings. I can access it in MX 17 by right clicking on the panel, choosing Panel>Preferences then the items tab. Highlight Windows Buttons and click on edit. If you check show handle you can get to it easier. I am not sure why it was removed from settings.

I have yet to see this reinstated in MX 17.

Please please please can it make a return. I have my places bar at the bottom and I find the ability to move the buttons invaluable. It saves me no end of time and squinting looking for specific buttons - they are where I placed them.

the settings are still there, accessed through the panel plugin settings dialog. the old command we used for the settings manager

Code: Select all

xfce4-panel --plugin-event=tasklist:configure:bool:true
no longer works with xfce4-panel.

So https://docs.xfce.org/xfce/xfce4-panel/tasklist is no longer a part of XFCE?

I think I'm going to cry :bawling:

its there, you just can't get to the Window Button settings directly thru the settings manager anymore. You need to go thru the panel settings as its a panel plugin.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
