[Solved] Lost Windows Button on MX 17
[Solved] Lost Windows Button on MX 17
I have been setting up MX 17 to my liking and I have noticed that the Windows Button settings tab which was on MX 16 has disappeared
I see this as essential for setting up the places bar, amongst other things. I will be distraught if I can't drag and drop places bar buttons
Please could Windows Button settings tab be reinstated on MX 17, maybe as an xfce tweak in the MX Tweak tool.

Re: Lost Windows Button on MX 17
It's just a Panel add-on, so get it back the usual way: right-click the Panel > Panel, and add it.

Re: Lost Windows Button on MX 17
Thanks for the reply, but the Window Buttons plugin is not what I'm after. I tried it out and it simply duplicates buttons next to the clock when added.
In MX 16 there is a shortcut in Settings to an identically titled Windows Buttons, and this allows the places bar to be easily customised. I find the drag and drop it allows to be invaluable, and it has other very useful features.
This shortcut has disappeared from the settings of MX 17. Could it be reinstated, or better still added to MX tweaks under xfce tweaks?

You're right, don't know where that went. Let me look around.

Here's the command that brings it up: I'm not sure ATM how we had it in MX-16, but others will know. in the meantime, you can create a menu entry with that using MX Menu Editor. Here is the text we had:

I will make a request that we get it into MX-17, thanks for bringing this up.

I am a bit confused. Is this what you are talking about or something else?
