Snes9x emulator for MX-15
Snes9x emulator for MX-15
It was made available for MX-14, any chance of getting it for MX-15?

Re: Snes9x emulator for MX-15
I got it to build on jessie but it lost all it's menus so it was pretty much useless. The recommended debian alternative to Snes9x is zsnes which is already in jessie. I took a look but wasn't impressed.NGIB wrote:It was made available for MX-14, any chance of getting it for MX-15?

There's a whole slew of other emulators I started to work on a couple months ago that ran via a single front end. Since there seems to be some interest in this area now, maybe I'll persue it.
Load up a beta1 and try zsnes and let us know what you think. If it's not enough, let me know and I'll chase down the other.

Re: Snes9x emulator for MX-15
The bad news is that a gtk3 API change messed up the drawing area Snes-9x was using, resulting in Mike's unusable build.
The good news is that the new devs have fixed that in git and it's now available in the MX-15 testing repo.

Re: Snes9x emulator for MX-15
A new version 1.54.1 has been released many months ago see there.
Is there a way we can get it for MX16?
Thanks

Re: Snes9x emulator for MX-15
We are at MX-19 now and I can't see snes9x in the repos. Are there any news about the integration of Snes9x to MX?

Available in Package Installer from a flatpak I believe. It works on my system...

Re: Snes9x emulator for MX-15
,
Ok, it works with flatpak really good, but isn't it a bit overpowered to run an snes emulator in a sandbox (hundreds of megabytes and needs a lot of resources) for a program which is like a few megabytes?
Re: Snes9x emulator for MX-15
1. You are using MX19, based on your earlier post, so please start a thread in the correct subforum for MX19 package requests, instead of reviving an old MX15 thread in the non-package requests subforum.
2. Jerry has already pointed out a potential package in MX19's repos. Is that it? If yes, there may have been no need to install a flatpak?
