MX-14 uses ALSA by default, which works well OOTB except when using multiple sound cards. The default card can randomly change at boot, so you have to change that and reboot.

I've repackaged asoundconf-gtk to help with this, as well as volumeicon (only the git version supports controlling multiple cards). Sources and info:
