Dear Jerry3904,

I think we need to review the French translation of the Fluxbox documentation.
The word "Slit" has been translated by the French word "fente".
I did some research with Google and the answer given shows the slit of a dress or skirt.
I didn't understand what it was in French and I was looking for the beautiful "slit" in Fluxbox.
The word "Slit" is never translated in the French documentation on the internet.
Here are 2 examples of sites in French;
http://fluxbox.sourceforge.net/docbook/ ... -slit.html
https://debian-facile.org/doc:environne ... 11:fluxbox
Slit is not translated.

I used DeepL to create all those translations, then asked the Community to review them but didn't get much help.

That document, too, is on GitHub:

https://github.com/MX-Linux/mxfb-docs/t ... elp/source

Click on the FR version to see a "download" link on the right.

(BTW: I have to say I never thought of the "slit" the way those photos show, but that's now going to be how I imagine it!)

Toggle conky = Toggle conky = Basculer conky
...
Pour info, pour Toggle le terme: Permuter serait encore mieux que Basculer (à mon avis)
Pour les nouveaux utilisateurs: Alt+F1 pour le manuel, ou FAQS, MX MANUEL, et Conseils Debian - Info. système “quick-system-info-mx” (QSI) ... Ici: System: MX-19_x64 & antiX19_x32

Dear Jerry3904,

It is not easy in French to choose between "Basculer" or "Permuter".
But I notice that for Windows 10 users, the word "Basculer" is used more often.
Here are some concrete examples with French websites.
The following sentence "How to Toggle Between the Desktop and Tablet Mode in Windows 10" is often translated by the word "Basculer".

French Acer website;
https://community.acer.com/fr/kb/articl ... ode-bureau
"Basculer" is used.

French tuto website;
https://www.monpc-pro.fr/tuto/windows-1 ... le-bureau/
"Basculer" is used.

French Lenovo website;
https://support.lenovo.com/fr/fr/soluti ... ok-windows
"Basculer" is used.

French HP website;
https://support.hp.com/fr-fr/document/c04901218
"Basculer" is used.

I think "Basculer" is the best choice.

Best regards,
Wallon

Why not but:
"basculer" is more popular but less appropriate than "permuter" in the french (fr-fr) semantic for this kind of bistable actions.

Dear Jerry3904,

Do you know when we can expect an upgrade of French version.
Corrections were done since February 21.
As you know, it's a big correction and we can't use in French at this moment Fluxbox.
Is there a problem ? A "merge request" was done on Gitlab or something like that ?

Best regards,
Wallon

Hi Wallon. We are in the process of moving the FB menu items into Transifex, which should be completed soon. The menu contains new entries and has been reorganized for MX-21. Existing translations, including yours, will then be imported and @ravrett will announce that the file is ready for translation. It will be made available to the user with the release of MX-21 sometime this summer.

Your contribution is a big correction and I'm sorry about the delay, but it makes more sense to developers and users to have a single release instead of two only a few months apart.
