Dang, I forgot to mention that for these two strings the day "Tu" and month "Oct" are not to be translated:

Code: Select all

Abbreviated name, e.g. Tu
Abbreviated name, e.g. Oct
For those who have already completed your translations, please revisit these strings on Transifex and ensure "Tu" and "Oct" are retained in your translated strings. Thanks.

Ok. Translation undone. Just to know, why do we have to keep Tu and Oct?

That was my decision when asked about whether they should be translated. I wasn't sure that short forms existed in all languages so concluded it would be easier to show one short form.

Maybe that was the wrong answer? Can be changed.
Production: 4.15.0-1-amd64, MX-17.1, AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core, GeForce GT 630/PCIe/SSE2, 8 GB, Kingston SSD 120 GB and WesternDigital 1TB
Testing: AAO 722: 4.15.0-1-386. MX-17.1, AMD C-60 APU, 4 GB

I didn't even think about it. Wise decision.
Anyway for many languages I think of, short forms are available. Does it harm if each translator decides by himself what to do?

I'm good with that, but would leave the final decision up to Old Giza, who really oversees all this area.

OK, translators feel free to abbreviate those short forms in your own language if you wish. Sorry for the back and forth, but it was good to hash it out.
