MX Package Installer - Popular applications

#1 Post by cyrilus31 »

I tried to find if a previous topic discussed that subject but with no avail.

In the Popular app tab, is there a way to translate the name of the category and possibly the description of the apps?

I tend to monitor the forums during the day, because I really can't do anything else during the day, linux-wise anyway. I still have to do my real-world job!

What is a job? I am sure you subscribe to certain threads so as to not be too distracted.

Job = Just over broke. The other translation of Job may violate the forum rules so I left it out.
I am command line illiterate. I copy & paste to the terminal. Liars, Wiseguys, Trolls, and those without manners will be added to my ignore list.

that is a good question. the answer is... maybe. Let us think about that one.

with the xml format for the pm files, I think that would be possible, but I don't know if we can implement before mx17 goes beta. But I can certainly see the benefit.

Besides expanding the xml definition to include language tagged fields (or having separate language-based pm files), another alternative might be to just extract the English text from the two fields and include in the regular program ts translation file so it can be handled as usual via Transifex.
