Thanks especially to all you: antiX-MX team, who work hard to develop the distribution, manage the forum and create documentation.
This operating system is a gift that many people have done to me, now I can try to give something back ..
Thanks also to Retrocomputer, he is doing with me this work of translation

Spartak77 and Retrocomputer - your work in translating MX/antiX is much appreciated. I'm sure that the many Italian speaking users of MX/antiX have benefiited (and will benefit) from your translations. Grazie!

Yes, even I am dishonest. Not in many ways, but in some. Forty-one, I think it is.

Hello,
I was planning to translate the actual MX-15 Manual (v.20160405) into German (html and pdf). Now I see that there's a German version (as of Febr. 9) in Dropbox in the odt format already.

My question: why is it that that document isn't showing up in the Manual translation page? Is it because of the format? a raw machine translation? some other reason? Please do let me know before I start duplicating someone else's work.

Thanks.
Frank

First, this would be terrific, thanks! Second: those are Google Translate products, and only real translations are listed on the Manual translations page. The project here is to bring those machine texts up to usage that is normal for the language. The translations for German in particular seem to have little idea of how German syntax works.

If you look earlier in the thread, you will see that we ask people to start with Sections 1 and 3, then turn to 2, and then continue. Gordon Cooper oversees this project, and he will be along later today I expect.

Hello Frank. I am updating the German machine translation and will upload it to Dropbox in about two hours. Note that this will be in Open Document forrmat, easier to edit than html.
Thanks for your offer.

Most of the machine translated copies of the Manual have been updated to the May 2016 edition and are available through links at:

http://forum.mepiscommunity.org/viewtop ... 75#p377975

Three are currently being edited and improved by Forum members - these are German, Italian and Spanish.
