Gordon .. Let me see if I understand. You are adding the mx manual's url into google translate and then you copy the (translated) text out of the google page and paste it into a Libre Office document
and saving in open document format?
If I knew exactly what you are doing, I would try and help.

Yes, that is the basic procedure. May appear to be a bit convoluted, here are the reasons why.
(1) The Manual is drafted in Lyx, a document processor that provides easy structuring plus simple conversion of the text into both HTML and PDF. (2) Google Translate makes a good job of translating HTML but cannot handle PDF's nor the original Lyx. (3) There are likely to be many more users familiar with Libre Office and the open document format, than there are users with skills in HTML editing, so the draft translations have been released as open docs.
A couple of extras. In pasting the translation into LO, linking of the Table of Contents is lost, but can be regenerated in LO. Also, we are
only looking for translations of Sections 1 & 3 at present.

It will be a little while before I can get started. Let me what know what language
you would like me to start with and I'll get at it as soon as I can.
You might want to hold off for a while. There are exactly zero (0) people following up on this project that I know of, so there is no use continuing to provide starting packages if they aren't going to be used.

A link to a Google translated, Filipino version of Sections 1,2 and 3 of the MX15 User Manual has been added to the list on the first page of this thread. As with all the other software/machine translations it will need editing by someone fluent in the language.
I'll start checking the Italian translation of the manual. Luckily the translation of Google seems pretty good, perhaps because who wrote the manual in English chose to build sentences not complex so easily translatable from Google. Thanks Jerry! However I have little time so I do not know how long I will be able to employ. I think I can finish about in a month (or two ).
Decided to join the forum after using MX for a while, fantastic distro, and noticed this announcement at the top of the forums. I wouldn't mind giving back a little to the community, and since I'm not really much of a coder this seems like a good opportunity. So is this something you still need help with? I can review and correct portions of the French manual if it hasn't been finished.
If you could start by downloading and reviewing/correcting those two sections, that would be terrific. Then we could progress through the remainder as you have time and inclination.
Thanks!
