Three sets of translations requested

#1 Post by Old Giza »

Hello translators. There are three apps that need updated translations:

(1) mx-switch-user

Just needs one phrase, for French, German, Greek, and Swedish. It can be found here:

https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/an ... chuserpot/

(2) mx-bootrepair

About 6 phrases required in Dutch, French, Greek, Japanese, Spanish, and Swedish. A little more work would bring Catalan, German, and Romanian up to the same level of completeness.

(3) mx-installer

All languages here require an effort. Please take a look. Some translations previously done will have to be redone due to minor changes in the phrasing. This was done to future-proof the app, so it's a little pain now in order to avoid having to repeat for each release. Hopefully Transifex will assist in this process. Sorry to have to make you revisit translations done previously. :frown:

Thank you for your time and expertise!

There's a small error in string 103 in the installer.

I did the first two for French and German, though it would be nice if a native speaker could review.

For the installer, can we get the old translations? I am not motivated to retranslate those long strings if unnecessary.

They should appear under suggestions and you could edit just some of the changes. Some might be easy, others not so.

String 187 in the installer must be updated. It still has MX-14.

I think it would be best to use the home page: http://www.mepiscommunity.org/mx

I have corrected both Henry's observations in the German and French translations, but Transifex will probably note an error until the English string is corrected.

The upload to Transifex has been done, so if you have completed your changes to mx-installer, please take a minute to go back and provide translations for the two newly altered phrases.

Thank you to everyone who has provided translations to date. We still need:

mx_switchuser
Greek

mx_bootrepair
Greek Japanese

mx-installer
French German Swedish Romanian - just the 2 new phrases required
Catalan Czech Dutch Greek Hungarian Japanese Portuguese Spanish Ukrainian - a bit more required

An update on where we stand ...

mx-switchuser and mx-bootrepair have been completed. Thank you very much!

mx-installer needs assistance with Spanish and Dutch translations. Also, one Catalan phrase remaining. Although some of the required strings are long, please don't let that discourage you, and remember anticapitalista's hint that the suggestions may ease the process.
