Please translate gazelle-installer

#1 Post by Old Giza »

Hello translators,

The strings for the new unified MX/antiX gazelle-installer have been placed on Transifex. They are mostly identical to what we have had before, so most are already translated. But you will find, depending on your situation, that about 26 strings remain to be translated.

They are long, but you should be able to use your suggestions to at least do parts of the strings. Be on the watch, though. There may be slight changes in wording, so careful editing is required. If you can't use any suggestions, don't forget to use the little clipboard icon where necessary to copy the English text to your translation area in order to preserve the hidden numbered format blocks.

Already done. And indeed some are LONG.. the 1 2 3 and such that take care of bold and whatnot are annoying in some cases, but it's done :)

Thanks for all your work!

There are now some additions. Please look in the resources gazelle-services-categories and gazelle-services-descriptions on Transifex.

Note that the descriptions in the second resource are not descriptions of the categories in the first resource. They are descriptions of particular services, such as cron, sudo, ssh, cups, etc.

Just thought to have a look so I might potentially help you guys. I've registered with transifex at the weekend. But might have messed something during registration as I now only have my native language registered. It appears or at least I can't find a way to add English as the 2nd language. Any idea? Alternatively I'll go and register freshly again. :lipsrsealed:

Your native language is probably the more important in so far as translations.
Obviously you need to understand English in order to translate it.

I think you are registered correctly.
What is your native language?

I'm simple/y ;=) german minded:=)
I've logged in and now what. ... where to look to see what has done and what still left to do.
Perhaps I might need a fresh broswer-profile as my usual browser profiles within palemoon, basilisks, waterfox are fairly locked up against spying and adware stuff. So I'm intentionally not using google/chromy, firefox-latest etc.
Perhaps a quick simple advice so I can learn to help … The transifex help and faq pages might help me but seem to me to begin with to advanced.

just a minute...
go here: https://www.transifex.com/anticapitalis ... dashboard/
Click on Translate button, upper right quadrant
Choose your language, German
then scroll through the files looking for ones that say >0 untranslated strings.

Hmme.. no Translate button to find.
Perhaps some more steps needed like indicated by this one on top of the page:
You can help translate "antix-development" by requesting to join the project's team.
Which might tell me I've to become a member of the project's team first. If that's the case fine... let's see. :snail:
