[Emerald Themes] a few mods

#1 Postby asqwerth » Sat Mar 17, 2018 6:52 am

If you use Compiz in MX, you know many of the Emerald window manager Themes look dated. They have that glass/plastic/Mac Aqua look from a certain time in the past.

However, the Emerald Manager does provide the tools to modify themes and export them as a .emerald file.

So if anyone's interested, here are some of my modified emerald themes. They are all very basic mods and I'm sure many of you are able to do much more. Richb for instance made his own larger window buttons for his own theme for his hiDPI display.

1. Numix_Solarized-Cobalt (from Numix_Tango). Flat numix theme in a dark "solarized" colour to use with k_sz's Cobalt Beetle theme

2. Shiki-Colors-adapta (from Shiki-Colors). Non-flat, gave it a slight tinge and trim of adapta-ish colours to match the Adapta theme.

3. Blue_Planet-thick. Original Blue_Planet was too skinny, so I made it fatter. Can't be seen in this screenshot but the window bar has a blue tinge.

4. Blue_Planet-thick-adaptadark. It has adapta colours in the frame/outline, but the window bar itself just looks like dark grey smoked glass.

Anyone else has his/her own emerald themes or mods to share?

Nice changes Asqwerth. I modified the Wombat theme again to add shadows. You can do many things with the emerald editor to modernize the themes and make them your own,
