MX-17 Screenshots
Re: MX-17 Screenshots
I just wanted to make my desktop as ugly as I could, did I do good?

Re: MX-17 Screenshots
You did pretty well. Oddly enough I find a certain amount of beauty in your screenshot. Sometimes it can be very difficult to distinguish beauty from nostalgia.rich wrote:I just wanted to make my desktop as ugly as I could, did I do good?Screenshot_2018-04-13_19-47-14.pngHappy Friday the 13th

Haha thanks, I like to tie in the oldschool nostalgia with a few rounds of 3d space cadet pinball
Re: MX-17 Screenshots
I revisited the XFCE-Pro-D theme that paulxfce that adapted from his gnome 3 theme for XFCE. It's a lightish theme but with dark desktop panels and dark side panel for Thunar, similar to Arc-Darker. And unlike themes like Adapta, the light background is not blinding white.
See this forum thread: viewtopic.php?p=432584#p432584
It's now at version 1.6 here: https://www.gnome-look.org/p/1207818/
Whisker menu is still white though, as he has said he is focusing on Xubuntu's XFCE which is using the gtk3 version of whisker.
Since I prefer a dark menu, I copied over and modified the whisker.rc settings file that Paul.. of the Dev Team inserted into greybird-mx17 to give it the dark panels and whisker. Along the way I also added a pinkish tinge to the base colour so that the dropdown menus in grey could be seen more clearly against, say, the Thunar background.

Re: MX-17 Screenshots
i like this theme very much it gives excellent animations when we use cursor on objects particulary when we select an option
I think originally it is for Gnome but it is working fine in Mx lInux whe the theme is installed window manager is also installed
I think this theme should be there in MX by default

That is one impressive tower of a conky.
Could you post a closeup pic of the conky, KoO?
