Yes.
And a problem they have known about almost ever since these Sandisk players first came out.
And, clearly, a problem they have no intentions of really solving.
I do have a permanent solution though. A solution that solves the problem for all users, and not just Windows users, viz:

Simply do NOT buy Sandisk mp3 players ever again.

And (i do love using "and's" to start sentences if only to cheese off my old English teacher, although i am really over-doing it today. To that end, i have just ordered a cheap Chinese unit (not the really cheap one's) but costing less than half the price on the current Sandisk unit.
Is it any wonder people are dumping their American products in favour of cheap Chinese imports?
However, I will keep the Sandisk as a spare ...just until my new one arrives.
