Is Flash Necessary?

I see that when I update, flash plugin get updated too. Is that still necessary, and If not how can I get rid of it?

Only you can decide if you don't need it. Fewer websites use it, but some still do.

You can use the Package Installer to remove it to see if you don't need it; it's an easy job to reinstall it in you miss it.

Uninstall adobe-flashplugin with one of our GUI package managers or quickly in a terminal:

Code: Select all

sudo apt remove adobe-flashplugin
Reinstall it if you find that you do really need it for some site.
