Raspberry 4

Hi, does anyone know if you can run mxlinux on raspberry 4?

Nope. Raspberry is an ARM processor. MX-Linux is only available for x86 type processors.

Is the PI 4 arm cpu or conventional cpu? I can't tell anymore with these soc boards at the pace they are going. If arm. Nope. Gotta roll with Debian arm offshoots.

I think it's still the same "armhf", as Debian calls the architecture, as the previous two Pi models.

I might be able to build some armhf packages of some MX apps on the openSUSE Build Service for you if we can figure out what would be useful on a Pi. Since something like MX-Updater is a Python package, I'm pretty sure you could use it "as is" on any architecture.

If you don't want to use Raspbian, there is also Gentoo, but it isn't an official release, seems to work though.

The RPi4B has many differences, & even Raspbian doesn't work properly on it just yet, lack of software drivers, (mine's back in its box until they sort them out).

I'm interested to know what didn't work for you; I've only had time to take a quick look at my Raspberry Pi 4, and basics all seemed to be OK.

@rokytnji.1 does antiX work on ARM? I didn't notice a release labeled that way, but I thought you might know.

Raspbian is based on Debian (just like MX minus all the extra good stuff) and works fine. The command line operates just like MX. I was only able to buy the 2GB RAM RP4, so I gave it to a colleague until my 4GB RAM version arrives. These little things are very addictive, even If frustratingly slow.

Why do you call X86 processors conventional? There are over a billion ARMs in use (android phones...etc...)
I think soon we'll see ARM processors become the default, heck even MIcrosh*t is starting to use them.
