Opera

This from a closed/locked previous thread ... decided to give Opera a shot - not in regular Synaptic, but in MX Tools, MX Package Manager, Browsers
The only hiccup we experienced was a Synaptic re-load - but ran 'dpkg --configure -a' as root - all copacetic, once again - what an Operating System

Opera, like every decent wart, is growing on me - have not used it since my ol' Symbian phone days - an excellent Motorola Razr, maybe ...?
It is clean, fast, very configurable, with tons of options, which I am wading thru ... might be ready for prime-time, finally

Frankly, its time for change - tired of all these quasi-literate HIB refugee emoji-engineers telling me what to do, say, think or buy

Will report on tracking etc, soonest

Regards

Jack

Of course you can change default search engines, and of course it's in Settings.

The center search box is separate, be just get rid of it in Settings > Advanced > Start page > enable Hide search box. Then a search in the top bar will follow what you choose
