Linux Format (UK magazine)

Post by thomasl » Tue Feb 12, 2019 6:58 am

Perhaps pushing against open doors but I have just realised that if you are a member of one of the participating public libraries in the UK (perhaps also elsewhere?) or have some login details from university or other educational institution you can actually read this magazine free of charge via a service called http://www.pressreader.com . Just check whether your library or uni is participating and then login with your library card number (or educational account details) and you're good to go.

I've downloaded their Android app to my Lineage OS tablet (the web-based reader is not especially well-designed). This app though works well and allows offline reading of this and thousands of other magazines and newspapers (not only computer-related and not only UK/English stuff: countries range from A(lbania) to Z(imbabwe) with almost every other country in between).

I used to think that good grammar is important. Now I know that good wine is importanter.
