Modern browsers and Flash

#1 Post by Jerry3904 »

I know that the two browsers I use, Firefox and Opera, both require the user to enable flash the first time it is encountered. I would like to generalize this, and would like to hear what other browsers do. Thinking of using it in the Manual...

TIA

Chrome will not load flash automatically, but will offer an install flash button which will enable flash if it's already installed. Can be confusing, but its a sign they intend to fully kick it out the back door. Should have been done many years ago imho

Almost these two types of browsers are on the market if we don't count Internet Explorer. :)

Chrome is a bit annoying in this as it only holds as long as the browser is open. Close it and when you open anew you have to click the lock next to the address bar when you hit a site with flash and then select allow.
