<SOLVED> MX-Updater disappeared

#1 Post by jeanpaulberes »

Dear fellow Linux users,
After the latest update of my MX-Linux 18 Continuum, at once my update icon in the notification area disappeared ;-)
when I look for Mx-Update in the menu and want to execute it, I get following message : <Failed to execute command "/usr/bin/apt-notifier-unhide-Icon".>
As far as I know I did delete nothing and that's why this is awkward for me ....
Can somebody give a tip please ?
Thx,
Best regards,
JP

Maybe this could resolve the issue:

Code: Select all

sudo apt install --reinstall apt-notifier
