Does a year count as prolonged use? I installed my first MX-17 32 bit 13 months ago, followed by the 64 bit version, then again to another 64 bit version, this time in VirtualBox, that use quite a bit. I've kept all but the first installs up-to-date on-the-fly whenever the package icon turned green. Zero problems. These installs are pretty much vanilla, with the addition of VirtualBox and x2go client and server from their respective Debian Stretch repos.

I let the first MX-17 32 bit install update today after a long lapse, updating about 350 packages, no issues at all. I only had to answer two dialogs, one for grub, and one regarding a virtualbox guest module. Easy peasy. I'm liking the stability along with active development very much.
