I use FSlint for comparing files/folders etc., installed via Synaptic, works ok.

For simple comparisons like in your case (for music), I just use Sunflower, a dual-paned file manager, which is in the MX Repos.
The menu bar has an option "Mark". Click on it and there's an "compare directories" entry. It will compare the directories/folders opened in both panes.
You can also use F12 function key to start comparing the 2 folders.
All the files in each folder that are different will be marked. If you right click on any marked file in either pane, you will get an option to move or copy ALL the marked files from that pane (folder) to the other folder.
I use it often to compare wallpapers and music files. However, it may not work that well when you are comparing different versions of the same file which may have been last amended at different times.

Double Commander is another file manager with a dual display but I have not used it very much.

The following installable packages are GUI applications dedicated to file/folder comparison:
meld
http://meldmerge.org/
freefilesync

kdiff3-qt

Also, the cross-platform "Beyond Compare" is commendable, IMO
