test repo.
use mx-packageinstaller, select the test repo tab, and install from there. MXPI will handle all the repo enabling and disabling for you.

Thanks but it says it can't install it and I can't copy the Now I can't copy error message. Can't install any version of gimp now.

Not sure how you did that, but installing from there has worked fine for all users here AFAIK. You realize D_O meant the MX Test Repo, right?
Try purging (completely remove) Gimp in Synaptic, then go back to MX Package Installer to install from the Test Repo

Re: How to upgrade Gimp to version 2.10
ok 2 things.
1. looks like we might be hitting a time out with the mxrepo for some reason. I suggest changing to one of the non-us repos and trying again.
