Re: Thunderbird stopped working after latest updates
Sadly I have to type this in by hand...
[calBackendLoader] Using Thunderbird's builtin libical backend.... and that's 100% of it.

That's weird. Couple of suggestions:
1)Log out and back in, then try again
2) Right-click the Updater icon > History, and copy/paste here what was in that update.
3) Give us the output of this command as regular user

Show us the output of the following commands from the terminal command line as normal user.grasshopper wrote: ↑Tue Aug 21, 2018 11:14 pm ...run the latest updates and now Thunderbird won't load

Do copy/paste the command into the terminal commandline
and copy/paste the text output and post here between
the code-tags here
.

Re: Thunderbird stopped working after latest updates
I don't think we've done any Thunderbird updates for at least a month. If Debian doesn't add the required cargo package to Stretch, and update rustc for 32-bit, we won't be able to build the new 60.X versions from source, either. There has been some chatter about that happening to enable firefox-esr 60 builds by September, but no progress lately.
