..the individual Sections are all in GitHub in odt format ...
...I did not know that..
You can get those from git like this:
Install git client, if not already:

Code: Select all

command -v git || sudo apt install git
Get from git the MX manual sections in odt-format:

Code: Select all

git clone https://github.com/MX-Linux/mxum.git
The latest PDF versions of the MX manual is available through this:

Code: Select all

git clone https://github.com/MX-Linux/mx-docs.git

I use deepl for technical translations between German and English. It's very nuanced.
I believe those are the intermediary languages that anchor the AI learning system, so the best translations will be between German and English.
Quality is still pretty good as long as one of the languages is an intermediary.
Then the lowest quality translations are like Italian to French because it resolves through an intermediary, so you have a double translation going on.
Son, someday all this will belong to your ex wife.
