Notepadqq not in synaptic

#1 Post by rbode »

Dear list,
Is anybody using the text editor "notepadqq" and have any hints for on how to install, because I cannot find the text editor in synaptic for standard MX-17, and no changes to the apt sources have been made yet.
================== System Id ==========
$ uname -a
Linux t530 4.13.0-1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.13.13-1mx17 (2017-11-18) x86_64 GNU/Linux
$ lsb_release
No LSB modules are available.
================== End System Id ==========

Are there any sources I can add to be able to install notepadqq through synaptic
OR should I install this package with snapd as suggested on the notepadqq website
OR git and make as suggested on the notepadqq git site
OR ....

Any pointers are much appreciated. ;)

TIA,
Rene

Some months ago I was looking at it, but never got deeper into it. I'll see if we can add it to our test repo.

Edit: ported version 1.2.0 from its PPA sources without any problem. Installed and ran OK on MX 17. Uploading for the test repo in a couple of minutes.

Use the MX package Installer and use the Full App Catalog tab. Hit the Help button for more information.

I also have the debs here temporarily: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1bkevi ... xFRwi9rpcm if you want to install early and manually.

You would need to install the notepaqq-common package first, then the notepadqq deb for your architecture.

Notepadqq AppImage

I've been messing with a bit, too. And the Notepadqq AppImage works fine. And not installing needed.

Which version are you testing, the one I built or the AppImage?
