I'd like to keep these two topics separate, please:

1) The Users Manual has been revised for Sections 1-3 only. I will post a thread for its review.

2) The conkies in the default collection still need basic revision, and it would be much easier as we head toward Final if we use the existing thread for feedback.

Thanks.

When live or installed on a desktop machine, an ugly yellow Power Manager icon is shown in the Notification Area. This doesn't happen live or installed on a laptop. This seems counter-intuitive. Do we need the Power Manage to show in the NA at all? If so, can we replace the garish icon?

I understood we were going to default the User Image setting in LightDM GTK+ Greeter settings to 'On'?

(The default wallpaper/backgrounds for this release are great; nothing to offend the eye!)

Not here installed on my testing laptop in sig; I just see the usual battery. Maybe on a desktop only?

Thanks, you. it would be so kind in beta 3 or end to configure in the initr the write permissions for any user (guest) to the live folder as it was in the mx-15 version. :frown:
I boot the iso in live hd with an antix folder in a partition with grub4dos
First of all, Thanks.

I have not had a chance to try this on something yet, but the included browser wasn't mentioned in the announcement...what version of FF? 56 or 57?
Thank You.

It is 56. But likely next release will be 57. 57 is available in the test repo.

He did. Hence the quotation marks in his second post.

But afaik any panel icon can be removed by the user if it offends their eyes. Thats why xfce is great.
