Awe-some = Some awe ;
Awful = Full of awe.
Having jumped around for a long time from distro to distro, and most recently, to be greatly impressed with the outcome of Solus 3 and then Ubuntu Budgie (which i find fuller) but now... this MX-17 b2!
The latter has really put me in crisis!
Here's one more hand to lift that cup higher to cheer the devs on! :)

Re: MX-17 Beta 2 Feedback
I'm totally not an Apple/iDevice person, but I'm sure the programmers in the Dev Team who came up with the new MX-iDevice-mounter app would like to hear users' feedback on the new app.
Does it work? Fully or partially?
Please let them know!

Re: MX-17 Beta 2 Feedback
A very solid beta2. Looks good, and thanks to all the developers who made the last minute changes to the 4.13 kernel. I downloaded, md5 was good, so I burned it to a USB flash drive with the antix tool. Successful was reported.
I booted the beta2, and everything seemed to work in the live session. Conky looked weird with the time digits skewed.
So I installed over the beta1. All very fast. Rebooted, immediately used the nvidia driver installer to install the 375.82-8-bpo+1.
Another reboot, all went well.
As I mentioned the big clock conky is not my taste, but by just clicking around, I could change the conky to mx-asq-geekyTower which looks better to me. The point is , don't sweat the conky stuff, there are many options, easy to figure out, and you can always turn it off in the manager if you don't like it.
So far:
eth0 auto connects
sound works with no selection, just a mixe rvolume increase, youtube plays with sound, as well as wav and mp3 from disk in clementine.
data drive mounted with the disk manager.
Turned on xfce compositor.
suspend/resume works correctly, resumes in about 10 sec.
USB thumb drive mounts and unmounts correctly.
samba works OTB, with credentials I can see directories and files on my wife's win 7 machine. (This always amazes me how easily this works...in contrast I can't get connectshares working in antix)
Lots of desktop tweaks, and finally 2 synaptic updates, and 104 new packages added !
So far all looks like it is working. And now for stability testing. Can I equal 9 days recently on antix 17?

That is a good reminder for us, we have intended to some theme-cleaning in the past but somehow keep forgetting.

MX Tweak, Theme tab.
Didn't know what "Nichi (horizontal)" was, and there is nothing in the Help file about it (which we have to update anyway). So I tried it, and got a vertical panel broken up into squares.

Selecting the "horizontal" one produces the vertical panel in the image

Just got up, one sip of coffee, but your last post (horizontal on horizontal, horizontal on vertical) confused me totally.
