What general problem? If you are talking about stuff from alpha that's been addressed long ago.

The new kernel in b2 also addresses some usb wifi dongle issues.

It has been requested for others to test the new iMountDevice app so I gave it a go with my MX-17b1 install to usb flash drive using my iphone 7.

It worked perfectly. I plugged in my usb cable with iMointDevice app open and selected rescan. It showed my phone and uuid. It brought up a trust window and I said yes, then my phone asked for my phone password which I provided. Then I chose to Mount in the iMointDevice app and thunar opened with a view of the files on the iphone 7. I opened the DCIM folder and copied my pictures from the iphone 7 and pasted to a new folder on mx-17b1. Worked like a charm - screenshot below:

@topcat - since I had not been able to get my iphone to mount (iphone 8 MX beta 2), I followed your instructions. I still had a beta1 install and it worked there as it did for you. However it does not in beta2 for me.

@peregrine : Wonder if the devs changed anything from beta 1 to beta 2?

If it helps I could download beta 2 tomorrow and try it out?

Minor icon issue:

Just installed beta two; switched panel to horizontal bottom. When left-clicking on Firefox or other icons on panel, select properties, buttons on right side of Launcher dialog are all grey - no content. Using Papirus Dark icons. Switching to Papirus light shows the content. So does Papirus itself. Switching back to Papirus dark turns them back to no content. Changing compositor does not seem to make a difference.

That's my only non-expected observation. No troubles whatsoever otherwise.

By any chance, did you use the "restore default panel" option at any point?

I think you have discovered a important bug! Should be easy to fix, thank you very much!

Are you using a dark or light theme? Papirus Dark has light-colored icons meant for use on a dark theme, the standard Papirus has darker icons.
