b2. just downloaded beta2_x64.iso; have no match on md5sum. two downloads same mismatch result.
hashfile = eff8fed576aa19c52296c15bb9cac397 reported need 1bbe7b27fb711468c611bdd5f16c2a9d for iso _x64.b2
?
mine match here: two possibilities.

1. incomplete or corrupted upload on our end.

2. incomplete or corrupted download on your end.

Since it's beta 2, I would bet the upload hadn't finished yet--the iso should be 1.3 GiB 1,428,160,512 bytes. Plus beta 2 should be in another thread...

FWIW, I used the delta to create the new ISO and get the correct md5 sum.

I am trying to get the beta1 to beta2 delta to work.

my xdelta looks like this

Code: Select all

music@Ryzen:/media/2TB_backup/Downloads
$ xdelta patch MX-17_b1_to_b2_x64.delta [MX-17.b1_x64.iso [MX-17.b2_x64.iso]]
xdelta: MX-17_b1_to_b2_x64.delta: bad magic number: not a valid delta
Or is there a full iso soon to be posted?

sure thing :lipsrsealed:

btw there's no issue with usb wifi stick connection in b2 anymore! (Like I had in viewtopic.php?f=77&t=43184 )
Is the new 4.13 kernel to blame for that?

The correct syntax for the delta file would be

Code: Select all

xdelta3 -d -s fromfile patchname.delta tofile
"tofile" is optional, if you leave it off it will use the default new file name. But this is not a release, we are still testing it internally.

The 4.9 kernel had some problems with certain Realtek wi-fi drivers, so the new kernel is probably what fixed it.

Sorry to jump the gun...
I am excited to hear of a newer kernel.

What kernel is it?

Is the post of dr-kart, is it 4.13? Wow, that is pretty new, newer than antix 17 with 4.10.

This is better I believe for the Ryzen chips and boards, newer kernels are better. With 4.10 (antix 17 final) my system is stable, but with 4.9 , spontaneous reboots every day or two.

I know it is an endless treadmill of new kernels, but 4.14 is going to be a long term support kernel I read.
