Update on MX-14

#1

Post by Jerry3904 » Mon Mar 03, 2014 9:10 am

I have seen a number of questions about what is happening, so wanted to provide an overview to the Community on the current state of the MX-14 development process.

We are focused now on all the cleanup necessary for an RC1. A lot of this is hard to see for people not on the Development Team, and covers things like tweaks to the Installer on how it handles hardware, testing for software incompatibility, removal of leftovers from the development process, reviewing software texts ("strings") and documentation, etc. We hope to complete all this by the end of the week.

What can the Community do to help?
--Reviewers: the Docs have been much changed recently, and need careful examination for content, clarity, typos etc. Comments to me by PM.
--Testers: we may be asking people with MX-14 installed to test some components and, if we do, would like to hear your feedback as quickly as possible. More on that soon...
--Translators: this is the time to complete what you can. We have a new MX app, the Flash Manager, and those 42 strings (a mere 226 words!) are now ready for translation.
