Re: Time to drop Dropbox?
Thanks, I will give it a try since a couple of people recommend it.
Re: Time to drop Dropbox?
I have been happy with MEGA. It feels like a Linux company, something they take seriously, not only bolt-on Linux support. I tried pCloud many years ago and I wasn't happy with it. It was using a "virtual filesystem" (so you could view files without downloading them). Good in theory, but too slow in practice. The best is odrive (not onedrive), but it's only for Windows/Mac.
Insync is good, but you are limited by Google Drive.

Re: Time to drop Dropbox?
PCloud actually uploaded my files much faster than Dripbox, it's a good sign. I like it has two factor authentication, in very limited exposure seems like a solid product.

Re: Time to drop Dropbox?
Another MEGA user here. I have had to drop dropbox a while ago.

Re: Time to drop Dropbox?
I received the "Dropbox no longer will support on my partition message" in an email. But it said it supported ext4. So I emailed their support and after a couple of emails back and forth the service guy said I was OK for the future. No mention was made of dropping Linux support So I am staying with Dropbox that has been solid for me for years.

Re: Time to drop Dropbox?
pcloud. Works on Linux and Windows. I've had no issues with it so far.
Re: Time to drop Dropbox?
I've been using Insync for Google Drive after dumping Dropbox about six months ago. No complaints.
Re: Time to drop Dropbox?
I use insync as well without a problem along with Dropbox. I sync the two directories with FreeFileSync so have files backed up in two different places. Google Drive storage is very inexpensive,

Re: Time to drop Dropbox?
Google recently switched me to the new Google One program, so I'm getting 200GB for $2.99 a month. Which I've been easily covering by doing the Google Surveys. So basically 200GB for answering 8-10 questions a month. Got tired of Dropbox bilking me.
If security were a top priority I'd probably use Spideroak.
