Dual Monitor notes

#1 Post by tascoast »

After adjusting MX 16,17 upgraded to 18 and 18, I noticed a couple of minor points relevant to adjusting dual monitor layouts

I found some inconsistency in how the new display wallpaper is selected by default between versions, although it is unclear if having either an MX or user supplied image has any impact. In MX-18 a stock 'mouse' background was the default presented when monitor two was configured, whereas in MX-16 it copied my user selected folder wallpaper.

Of most significance, at least for MX 17 and 18 (having set up MX-17 Upgraded to 18) a little while back), I found I needed to check/uncheck Mirror Display in Display Settings before the two monitor views were displayed, then allowing their relative positions to be set by dragging. I expect this is just a generic XFCE bug but note for reference.
