Removing ugly clock cpu thing on MX17 desktop

#1 Post by Rick6402 »

The MX17 install good; ugly clock cpu thing on MX17 desktop bad!?!
I have searched google to no avail.
I have replaced the desktop background; ugly clock cpu thing still visible.
How do I scrub this ugly clock cpu thing from the MX17 desktop?
Thank you,
Rick
P.S. For the time being, I will open an app, size & move it's window to cover ugly item (sort of like covering a dog's carpet boo boo).

Conky is probably what you are referring to.
You can find information on it in the MX Manual.
Very good to read when you are starting out with MX for the first time.

You're going to rile up some hombres in here by calling it ugly, pardner!

It's Conky Toggle in the menu to switch it off. It's right in our Fine Manual or right there in the Menu. You can also run MX Clocky if you want analog clocks.

Why are you installing an older version of MX instead of the current 18 series?
