Hi all,
Just a quick question, in the last few days an update came up in MX Linux, I'm running MX 17 (at work so I'll post my inxi later). After the update, when I click on MX Tools, my MX Tools panel/window does not show up anymore. I can select MX Tools from the Whisker menus and get a listing of the individual tools and access them in that way, but the panel no longer shows up. I have restarted my system since the update with the same results. Anyone else experiencing this?
Thanks

Re: MX Tools Panel Missing After Update
No problem like that here, and no other forum reports.
What happens when you try to launch MX Tools from the terminal? Any error messages?

Can you right-click the MX Tools menu listing > Edit Application ..., and post a screen capture.

Re: RESOLVED - MX Tools Panel Missing After Update
Running mx-tools from a terminal launches fine. I only had a MX Tools icon on the right-side pane not in the left-side pane for whatever reason. Hovering over the right-side pane showed the individual tools but not the MX Tools Windows that shows all of them together.

I created a launcher, used 'mx-tools' as the exec, and placed in /.local/share/applications/ and added the icon to my favorites.
Thanks for the assistance

This often happen to me. The desktop area is larger than my screen (Dell 5567). Solution is to logout (Ctrl+Alt Backspace), and login again.
Re: RESOLVED - MX Tools Panel Missing After Update
Well, MX-Tool starter icon is not part of any menu category used for all the other mx-tools.dolphin_oracle wrote: ↑Thu Oct 18, 2018 12:40 pmweird, ...stevedude wrote: ↑Thu Oct 18, 2018 12:35 pm Running mx-tools from a terminal launches fine. The default menu-category is Setting, so you will find it under Settings.
The "MX-Tool starter icon" is intentionllay not showing within the menu category "MX Tools".
As both the "MX-Tool starter icon" and the menu-category "MX Tools" look identical,
it would be more confusing to have both optical idential entries within the "Menu Name" as well as the menu entry.
If for some reason the "MX-Tool starter icon" is not showing up within the menu favorites,
you just need to type within the menu "mx-" and righclick on "MX Tools" and select show in favorites.
You just might have removed it the same way from the favorites.

Re: RESOLVED - MX Tools Panel Missing After Update
Probably just coincidence, but I know I was able to access the MX Tools from the Whisker Menu. After the update, my wife used the computer so I'm going to blame her for the missing Favorites icon ;-)You just might have removed it the same way from the favorites.
